Messino Olivo hand painted cuerda seca tile — a refined geometric pattern with muted, olive-green tones from our San Luis Obispo (SLO) collection, bringing sophisticated Mediterranean character to traditional tilework. Part of our SLO collection, this tile features the distinctive raised ridges and three-dimensional texture created by the traditional cuerda seca glazing method.
Each tile is individually hand crafted using the cuerda seca technique, where molten wax separates glaze colors before firing. The result is a tactile surface with an interplay of matte and glossy finishes that defines authentic Malibu style tilework. Messino Olivo pairs beautifully with warm wood tones, natural stone, and other earthy SLO patterns for kitchen and bathroom installations that feel timeless, curated, and authentically Mediterranean.
