Our Solidos collection is the most extensive range of handmade solid-color Mexican ceramic tiles available in the United States. With over 40 colors spanning the full spectrum — from vibrant primaries to sophisticated earth tones, available in both glossy and matte finishes — these tiles provide unlimited design possibilities.
Every Solido tile is individually handmade and hand glazed in the ceramic workshops of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. The hand-glazing process creates natural color variation within each tile, producing surfaces with living depth that factory tiles cannot achieve. This subtle variation is what gives handmade solid tile its warmth and visual interest.
Solidos serve as the essential building block of decorative tile installations. Use them as field tiles surrounding Talavera accents, as wainscoting below ornamental borders, in checkerboard patterns mixing two colors, or as bold monochromatic surfaces. Available in 4-inch and 6-inch sizes to coordinate with our full decorative tile library.
