La Quinta Negro Con Blanco hand painted cuerda seca tile — a bold, high-contrast design from our San Luis Obispo (SLO) Rusticos collection, featuring the La Quinta geometric pattern rendered in dramatic black and white. The cuerda seca technique creates raised ridges between the dark and light glazes, producing a striking three-dimensional texture with a contemporary edge.
Each tile is individually hand crafted using the traditional cuerda seca method, where molten wax separates glaze colors before firing. The Negro Con Blanco's monochromatic palette gives it a modern sophistication that bridges traditional Malibu style tilework and contemporary design. Use it alongside its inverse — La Quinta Blanco Con Negro — for a dynamic checkerboard or alternating installation, or on its own for a bold graphic statement.
Available in 2", 4.25", and 6" sizes. Every tile is handmade and unique. All handmade Mexican products are rustic in nature and subject to variation in shape, size, and color.
